Ramallah: A senior Hamas official has publicly praised the recent Iranian missile strikes on Israel, asserting that Israel’s much-touted missile defense systems, including the Iron Dome and David’s Sling, failed to stop the attacks. Izzat al-Risheq, a senior leader in Hamas, expressed his support for Iran’s actions in a statement circulated by local Palestinian news outlets.
Al-Risheq criticized Israel’s missile defenses as ineffective and declared that the country will face serious consequences for its long-standing actions against regional peoples. He emphasized that Iran’s retaliatory strikes demonstrate a clear message: acts of aggression will inevitably be met with punishment and no act of arrogance will go unanswered.
His remarks reflect growing regional tensions and highlight the deepening conflict between Israel and its neighbors, as Iranian strikes continue to intensify the situation.
