Jordan Reopens Airspace Following Temporary Closure Amid Iran-Israel Conflict

Amman: Jordan has officially reopened its airspace after a brief closure triggered by the rising military tensions between Iran and Israel. According to the country's civil aviation commission, the airspace resumed operations at 7:30am local time (04:30 GMT), following a suspension of flights the previous day due to escalating regional conflict.

The decision to close the airspace came amid concerns that Jordan could be drawn into the fallout of direct missile exchanges between Tehran and Tel Aviv. Government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani emphasized Jordan's firm stance, stating that the country would not permit any violations of its sovereignty nor allow its skies to become part of a battleground.

The move to reopen suggests a measured return to stability, but Jordan continues to monitor the situation closely as tensions between Iran and Israel remain high. Regional airlines and international carriers had rerouted flights during the temporary closure, and flight operations are now expected to gradually normalize.
