Lahore: Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris has responded after going undrafted in the Big Bash League (BBL) 15, stressing that national duty remains his top priority. Although among 74 Pakistani players registered, Haris was not picked by any BBL franchise.
Speaking at a recent media session, the 24-year-old acknowledged the prestige of such leagues but emphasized his current focus on representing Pakistan. He is participating in a skills development camp organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), where he’s refining key areas of his game.
Haris said the camp has been vital for addressing weaknesses, especially in match awareness and defensive techniques. Known for aggressive hitting, he is now working on strike rotation and overall consistency.
Haris also ruled out any interest in captaincy, preferring to focus on personal performance. Notably, he expressed a strong desire to join Pakistan’s red-ball squad, citing his enjoyment of the domestic red-ball format and goal of national selection.
