Pakistan Bowlers Make Big Moves in ICC T20I Rankings

Islamabad: Pakistan’s bowlers have made significant gains in the latest ICC T20I rankings following impressive performances in recent international matches. Fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Abbas Afridi now share the 18th spot with 605 rating points each, reflecting their recent form.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has also improved his position, climbing to 35th place with 552 points. Among spin bowlers, Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed now jointly hold the 58th spot with 476 points.

However, young pacers Naseem Shah and Sufiyan Muqeem have dropped in the rankings, settling at 92nd and 95th positions with 407 and 406 points, respectively. On the global front, New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy leads the T20I bowling charts, with England’s Adil Rashid overtaking India’s Varun Chakaravarthy for second place.

In batting rankings, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan hold the 12th and 13th spots. Mohammad Haris remains at number 30, while Hasan Nawaz and Saim Ayub have slipped to 46th and 62nd, respectively. Pakistan’s T20I captain has dropped to 76th with 430 points, and Fakhar Zaman is now 87th.

Australia’s Travis Head remains at the top of the T20I batting rankings, followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma.

England’s Phil Salt has fallen to fourth. The ICC in Dubai released the rankings update to reflect shifting performances as teams prepare for upcoming tournaments.
