The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's wife, Princess Sara bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz, has announced the opening of a new cultural institution called "Asaan," which would be housed in Diriyah in the upcoming years. The museum, which is supported by the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation "Misk," seeks to establish itself as a major international cultural center honoring Saudi Arabia's rich legacy.

Princess Sara, the chairperson of Asaan, said, "Asaan will highlight the Kingdom's rich heritage, including artifacts, traditions, and social values." The intention is to raise a generation that actively seeks to conserve and renew its history out of pride.

A Cutting-Edge Museum Design

With designs by Zaha Hadid Architects, the museum will cover more than 40,000 square meters and combine traditional Najdi architecture with modern inventiveness. Thousands of heritage pieces that depict Saudi history and cultural development will be on display. Additionally, there will be art galleries, a permanent exhibition space, an artists plaza, and "Asaan's Majlis," a forum for cultural talks, workshops, and dialogue.

Princess Sara’s Advocacy for Cultural Preservation

The museum will also have interactive learning programs and conservation labs, giving visitors immersive experiences that vividly depict Saudi history and customs. Princess Sara is well-known for being a fervent supporter of empowerment and cultural preservation, especially when it comes to helping young people and persons with disabilities through professional and educational projects. Her initiatives complement Saudi Vision 2030's emphasis on national identity and heritage preservation.

Asaan is anticipated to grow into a significant cultural landmark, demonstrating Saudi Arabia's leadership in heritage conservation and its dedication to honoring its past on a worldwide scale.
