PTI Condemns Brutal Killings of Peaceful Protesters in Islamabad

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the brutal killings of its peaceful protesters in Islamabad, accusing the government of orchestrating violence under the pretext of an "operation." The party has called for immediate legal action against senior government officials, including the Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Inspectors General of Islamabad and Punjab, following the deadly crackdown on unarmed citizens. PTI Workers Targeted in Deadly Assault. PTI spokespersons confirmed that at least eight of their workers have been killed, with several others injured, during the violent incident on the streets of Islamabad. The victims of this ruthless assault included Anis Shehzad Satti, Malik Mubeen Aurangzeb, Abdul Qadir, Malik Safdar Ali, Ahmad Wali, Muhammad Ilyas, and Abdul Rashid. According to PTI, government forces opened fire on unarmed, peaceful protestors, causing widespread panic and casualties.
"Under the orders of fascist elements, the government unleashed bullets on our workers. This was a cold-blooded massacre of innocent citizens who were simply exercising their right to protest," a PTI spokesperson stated. "Our peaceful protest was met with gunfire, leaving hundreds of our workers injured and many killed." PTI Appeals for Legal Action and Accountability In light of the killings, PTI has called on the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the incident and demand a thorough investigation. The party has also appealed for the prosecution of key government officials responsible for the violence, including the Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and the Inspectors General of Islamabad and Punjab, who they hold accountable for the deaths. The party announced that, due to the ongoing government violence, it would temporarily suspend planned protests in order to prevent further loss of life. PTI stated that while the protests have been suspended, their commitment to peaceful political struggle remains unwavering.
Commitment to Non-Violent Struggle for People's Rights PTI’s leadership reiterated that the party is not an armed group and will never endorse violence against its citizens. Despite the attacks, PTI vowed to continue its peaceful efforts in accordance with Pakistan’s constitution and the democratic process. “Our workers have shown immense bravery in the face of extreme violence, but we will not allow any more lives to be lost,” PTI’s spokesperson emphasized. “We are determined to continue this struggle for the rights of the people, and no amount of government brutality will stop us.” The party also expressed gratitude to the citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for their hospitality and to overseas Pakistanis who joined the protests, demonstrating solidarity with the cause for justice and democracy in Pakistan. The Fight for True Freedom Continues PTI remains resolute in its mission for "Haqeeqi Azadi" (True Freedom) and vowed to continue fighting for the rights of the people of Pakistan. The party stressed that their struggle would persist until justice is served, and the voices of the people are heard.
