The Ministry of Energy announced today that Saudi Arabia has officially joined the International Partnership for the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE), marking a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing clean energy solutions. This move aligns with the Kingdom's ambition to become a leading producer and exporter of clean hydrogen while working towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2060. The partnership aims to foster international cooperation and support the Kingdom's sustainability initiatives, including the "Saudi Green Initiative" and "Middle East Green Initiative." Through IPHE, Saudi Arabia seeks to contribute to global efforts in developing clean hydrogen technologies, harmonizing regulations, and reducing carbon emissions.
