Saudi Foundation Showcases Sustainable Projects at Dutch GreenTech Exhibition

Amsterdam: The Vegetation Cover Development Foundation (Morooj) showcased its flagship environmental initiatives as part of the Saudi delegation at GreenTech Amsterdam, held from June 10 to 12 in the Dutch capital.

During the international horticulture exhibition, Morooj presented its technical and operational expertise, highlighting innovative environmental solutions aligned with global standards. The foundation also demonstrated its strategic partnerships with governmental, private, and international entities.

Key projects on display included large-scale mangrove tree planting, greening mosque surroundings, community-based environmental sanitation campaigns, and the rehabilitation of natural reserves across Saudi Arabia initiatives aligned with the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI).

Morooj CEO Wael Bushah said the foundation’s participation reflects the Kingdom’s growing leadership in global environmental efforts. He emphasized the importance of GreenTech as a platform for knowledge exchange and partnership-building in sustainable agriculture and ecosystem restoration.

The foundation aims to serve as a hub for knowledge transfer and environmental impact, supporting SGI and Saudi Vision 2030 goals. SGI, now in its third year, seeks to combat climate change through renewable energy promotion, environmental protection, and a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
