Boston: Saudi Arabia is set to make its first joint national appearance at the BIO International Convention in Boston from June 16 to 19, with key institutions joining forces to highlight the Kingdom’s growing biotechnology sector.
The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences will represent Saudi Arabia at the event under the Saudi pavilion, in alignment with Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy.
The King Abdullah Center will spotlight national biotech initiatives and hold meetings with global companies to explore research and development partnerships. The pavilion’s agenda includes five sessions, featuring a “super session” focused on innovation and emerging opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s biotechnology sector.
Presentations will cover key topics such as health research, the Saudi Biobank, and the sector’s strategic role in Vision 2030.
The Ministry of Health will also introduce an accelerator program to support biotech startups and host a reception for international investors and experts to foster potential collaborations.
The Kingdom’s participation highlights its commitment to advancing R&D through digital infrastructure, regulatory support, and institutional cooperation.
