The ambassador of South Africa to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia claims that South Africa has gained knowledge from nations that have hosted the G20 in the past. Along with Brazil, Russia, India, and China, South Africa is a member of the G20 major economies and is dedicated to making sure that the globe recovers from the COVID-19 epidemic with greater strength.
"The importance of multilateral forums that have been established because they (Saudi Arabia) continue to play a meaningful role in terms of the global dialogue for humanity for peace, and this is very important," the ambassador added, praising the Kingdom's function as a geopolitical mediator.
"I usually emphasize that South Africa and Saudi Arabia are in a good position to contribute because of their diverse geographies.
The ambassador emphasized ongoing collaboration between countries, noting South Africa’s excitement about hosting the G20 for the first time in Africa. He highlighted key focuses, including economic diplomacy, unemployment, poverty, sustainable development, inequality, and climate change, with solidarity, equality, and sustainability at the core of South Africa’s presidency.
