Riyadh – During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, French President Emmanuel Macron toured the historic At-Turaif district in Diriyah, a pivotal site in the Kingdom's history. Accompanied by his delegation, Macron explored the area, which is the birthplace of modern Saudi Arabia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. He also observed the local horse breeding tradition and visited the Diriyah Museum, gaining insights into the region’s cultural significance.

In a further demonstration of cultural collaboration, President Macron, alongside Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Farhan and French counterpart Rachida Dati, signed several executive programs aimed at enhancing cultural ties between the two nations. The agreements span various sectors, including museums, libraries, and cinema, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for cultural development.

The Saudi Museums Commission signed four executive programs focused on the museum sector, while the Saudi Libraries Commission formalized an agreement for libraries, and the Saudi Film Commission signed a program related to cinema. These initiatives are designed to foster cultural exchange and support the Kingdom’s ambitious plans for development under Vision 2030.
