Beirut / Sanaa: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued its humanitarian efforts in Lebanon and Yemen through targeted food aid and mine clearance initiatives.
In Lebanon, KSrelief distributed 360 food baskets to vulnerable individuals in the cities of Tripoli and Jbeil, benefiting approximately 1,800 people. The initiative is part of the 2025 emergency food and clothing aid project, aimed at supporting families affected by economic hardship.
Over the past two months, KSrelief has expanded its outreach in Lebanon. In May, it provided 863 food baskets to over 4,300 people across six cities. In April, the center distributed 6,181 vouchers for food and winter clothing, helping families cope with seasonal challenges. These efforts reflect Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance through KSrelief.
Meanwhile in Yemen, the KSrelief-backed Masam Project successfully dismantled 1,139 explosive devices during the first week of June. These included 1,080 unexploded ordnance items, 56 anti-tank mines, two explosive devices, and one anti-personnel mine.
Since its inception, the Masam Project has cleared a total of 498,683 explosive devices, which were planted indiscriminately across civilian areas, posing a serious threat to the lives of innocent civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to provide humanitarian relief and ensure civilian safety in crisis-affected regions.
