KSrelief Signs Deal to Set Up Four Water Desalination Plants in Gaza Strip

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, via video conference, to establish four water desalination stations in the Gaza Strip.

The stations, to be set up in Khan Younis and the Central Governorate, will each have a production capacity of 10 to 12 cubic meters per day. The project also includes the installation of four solar power systems, each with a capacity of 7 kilowatts.

An estimated 300,500 individuals are expected to benefit from the initiative, which falls within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts through KSrelief to support water and sanitation infrastructure and ease the humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people.

KSrelief has consistently supported water desalination efforts in the Gaza Strip, supplying clean water as part of emergency interventions in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme.

Their initiatives include providing water tanks and supporting the distribution of safe drinking water to vulnerable communities amid ongoing crises
