KSrelief’s Masam Project Clears 1,243 Explosive Devices in Yemen

ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) Masam Project successfully cleared 1,243 explosive devices in various regions of Yemen during the third week of June 2025.

The cleared explosives included 1,182 items of unexploded ordnance, 57 anti-tank mines, and four anti-personnel mines.

Since its launch in June 2018, KSrelief’s Masam Project has made remarkable progress in Yemen by clearing over 67.5 million square meters of land and removing more than 500,000 explosive devices, including anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices that threaten civilians.

The project works in close coordination with Yemeni authorities to train and equip local teams for rapid humanitarian clearance, focusing on areas of immediate need such as villages, roads, water sources, schools, and healthcare facilities.
