Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has strongly warned against the spread of fake and misleading information on social media, emphasizing that Pakistan has not issued any statement about launching a nuclear strike on Israel.
Addressing the Senate, Dar said that false narratives are being circulated by Indian propaganda accounts on social media. He noted that an old video clip from 2011 featuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had resurfaced, alongside a fabricated video involving U.S. President Donald Trump. “Even a fake clip attributed to Defence Minister Khawaja Asif is being widely circulated,” he said.
He reassured the nation that Pakistan's armed forces remain on high alert and firmly stated, “Israel would not even dare to cast an evil eye towards Pakistan.” He also reaffirmed that Pakistan had taken a clear and principled stance following Israel’s recent attack on Iran. "We held a telephone conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister after the Israeli aggression," he revealed.
Dar clarified that Pakistan’s nuclear program is solely intended for national defense, regional stability, and peaceful purposes. "Let it be clear: Pakistan has issued no statement threatening a nuclear strike on Israel. We believe in resolving conflicts and disputes through dialogue and diplomacy," he concluded.
