RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the formation of Syria’s new government, expressing hope that it will meet the aspirations of its people, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to working with the new government, strengthening bilateral ties, and enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
The ministry also extended its best wishes for Syria’s security, stability, and prosperity.
Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa announced a transitional government on Saturday, appointing 23 ministers in a broader cabinet, marking a significant step in Syria’s transition from decades of Assad family rule and improving ties with the West.
