Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief Continues Vital Humanitarian Support Across Yemen

Hadhramaut/Marib/Saada: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) remains steadfast in its efforts to support the health and well-being of Yemen’s most vulnerable populations, delivering a broad spectrum of medical and humanitarian services across multiple governorates in May 2025.

In Seiyun, Hadhramaut Governorate, the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center—operating with support from KSrelief—offered critical services to 775 individuals who had lost limbs. A total of 2,276 procedures and consultations were carried out, including the production and fitting of prosthetic limbs, physical therapy, and specialized medical consultations. Of the beneficiaries, 60% were male and 40% female, with internally displaced persons making up 18% of the total. This initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider humanitarian strategy to enhance the Yemeni healthcare system and ease the suffering caused by years of conflict.

Meanwhile, in Marib’s Al-Wadi District, KSrelief distributed 3,220 cartons of dates, benefiting around 19,000 individuals. The food aid falls under the center’s 2025 date distribution program, aimed at combating food insecurity among at-risk communities across Yemen.

In the northern governorate of Saada, KSrelief’s mobile medical clinics continued to deliver essential healthcare in Razih District. In May alone, 524 people received services across a range of specialties: 141 were treated in the epidemiology unit, 122 in emergency care, 226 in internal medicine, and 35 women received reproductive health services. The clinics also provided medications to 475 patients, conducted 21 procedures in the surgery and wound-care unit, and served 224 individuals at the nursing station. Public health outreach also reached eight people through awareness and education activities.

These efforts exemplify Saudi Arabia’s enduring commitment, through KSrelief, to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and improve living conditions for communities in need.
