Riyadh: The Saudi Film Commission announced its participation in the Shanghai International Film Festival 2025, scheduled to take place from June 13 to 22 in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
Recognized as the largest film festival in China and the only one accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), the event provides a global platform for cinematic exchange and industry engagement.
The commission’s participation aims to promote cultural cooperation, strengthen international partnerships, and highlight the visual and geographic diversity of Saudi Arabia as a filming destination. It also seeks to explore opportunities for co-production and distribution of Saudi films in the Chinese market.
The Saudi pavilion, which will be active from June 21 to 25 during the festival’s market segment, will showcase the commission’s initiatives, connect with industry professionals, and present the Kingdom’s creative and commercial film potential.
This initiative reflects the Film Commission’s ongoing efforts to support the growth of the Saudi film industry, empower local talent, and foster cultural exchange on an international scale.
