Who are the Women Behind the Records?

Rumeysa Gelgi, born in 1997, is a lawyer and public speaker diagnosed with Weaver syndrome in childhood, which contributed to her extraordinary height of 215.16 cm (7 feet 0.7 inches). She holds the record for the tallest teenager in 2014 and was officially recognized as the tallest woman in October 2021. Due to her height, she faces mobility challenges and uses a wheelchair.

Jyoti Amge, from Nagpur, India, was diagnosed with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism, at the age of five, which has limited her height to 62.8 cm. At 30 years old, she has appeared in a music video by popular singer Mika Singh and recently acted in an American TV series. Jyoti has held the Guinness World Record for the shortest woman since December 16, 2011.

This historic meeting not only highlights their remarkable achievements but also promotes a message of acceptance and celebration of diversity.
