Kuwait Extends Oil Credit Facility for Pakistan by Two Years

Islamabad: Kuwait has extended its oil credit facility for Pakistan by two more years. The facility is provided by Kuwait Petroleum to Pakistan State Oil (PSO), offering crucial support to Pakistan’s energy sector.

The development was confirmed during a meeting between Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, and the Ambassador of Kuwait in Islamabad. Minister Malik expressed his gratitude for Kuwait’s continued support, noting that the economic reforms undertaken by Pakistan were made possible due to the assistance from Kuwait and other brotherly nations.

The Kuwaiti ambassador praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, stating that Pakistan has achieved economic growth under his guidance. Both sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

Minister Malik thanked Kuwait for offering special concessions to Pakistan and emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif holds deep respect and affection for the people of Kuwait, as well as for the Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait.
