Saudi Crown Prince Urges Global Action to Halt Israeli Aggression in Gaza

Mina: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the need for international efforts to end the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and its catastrophic consequences. He made the remarks during the annual reception for heads of state, dignitaries, and leaders performing Hajj this year, held at the Royal Court of Mina Palace on Saturday.

Delivering a speech on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince said: “This blessed Eid Al-Adha comes while our brothers in Palestine continue to suffer as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression. We emphasize the role of the international community in ending the disastrous repercussions of this aggression, protecting innocent civilians, and establishing peace in Palestine in line with international legitimacy.”

At the beginning of his speech, the Crown Prince extended Eid Al-Adha greetings to all Muslims and congratulated pilgrims, praying for the acceptance of their Hajj and good deeds.

He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving Islam and Muslims, especially pilgrims visiting the Two Holy Mosques. “God Almighty has honored this country with the service of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. Saudi Arabia has prioritized this service, devoting all its capabilities to facilitate Hajj and Umrah rituals,” he said.

He added, “We ask God Almighty to maintain security and stability in our country and all Muslim nations, and to ensure the safe return of pilgrims to their homes.”

The reception was attended by several prominent Islamic figures and international dignitaries, including Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Vice President of Benin Mariam Chabi Talata Zimi Berima, and former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, who also chairs the Hajj Guests Service Program Committee, addressed the gathering and reviewed major achievements from this year’s Hajj season. These included 46 new energy projects costing over SR3 billion, enhanced transport and healthcare services, more than 300,000 square meters of shaded areas, and significant upgrades to the Nusuk digital platforms, now offering over 130 digital services.

Other speakers included Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Hussein and Syrian Minister of Endowments Sheikh Mohammed Abu al-Khair Shukri, who highlighted the significance of unity and faith during Hajj.
