RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extended condolences on Saturday to Thailand’s King over the victims of the recent earthquake in Bangkok.
According to the report, The Saudi leaders expressed their "deepest condolences and sincere sympathy" to the families of those who lost their lives and wished for the "safe return of the missing and a speedy recovery for the injured."
A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Thailand and neighboring Myanmar on Friday, killing more than 1000 people.
Officials warned the death toll could rise as the full extent of the destruction remained unclear. In Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city and the quake’s epicenter, reports indicated widespread damage, including the collapse of one of the city’s largest monasteries.
