Bilawal Briefs PM Shehbaz Sharif on Diplomatic Engagements in US and Europe

Islamabad : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who briefed him on the recent diplomatic visits of a Pakistani delegation to the United States and Europe.

According to reports, Bilawal provided a detailed briefing on the delegation’s meetings and efforts during the visits. The Prime Minister praised the team’s performance in effectively countering recent "Indian propaganda" and successfully representing Pakistan’s stance at the international level, particularly in the US, UK, and Europe.

To honour the delegation's efforts, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner in their recognition. He commended the delegation members for passionately advocating Pakistan’s position on global platforms and stated, “You have returned victorious after defending Pakistan’s case with a true national spirit.”

He lauded the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with other key members of the delegation, including Sherry Rehman, Dr. Musadik Malik, Hina Rabbani Khar, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt, Senator Faisal Sabzwari, Engineer Khurram Dastgir, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Tehmina Janjua. “Your commitment to national interest is being acknowledged not just in Pakistan, but globally,” he added.

Highlighting the delegation’s achievements, the Prime Minister noted that Pakistan’s narrative — from the issue of Pahalgam to the Indus Waters Treaty — was presented with clarity and conviction under Bilawal’s leadership.

He further stated that due to divine blessings, the prayers of the nation, and the military expertise of Pakistan’s brave armed forces, India had to bear the consequences of its unwarranted war-mongering.

On domestic matters, the Prime Minister said the 2025-26 budget aimed to provide relief to all segments of society, including salaried individuals. He expressed gratitude to all coalition partners, including the PPP, for their cooperation in the budget-making process.

“I am confident that with your guidance, support, and suggestions, we will overcome internal and external challenges, Insha’Allah,” the Prime Minister concluded.

Prominent attendees at the dinner included Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, and Special Assistants Talha Burki and Tariq Fatemi.
