RIYADH: The highly anticipated boxing spectacle “Fatal Fury” is set to take center stage in Riyadh on May 3 as part of the Riyadh Season, hosted at anb Arena.
Headlining the event is the undisputed super middleweight world title fight between Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Álvarez and undefeated Cuban champion William Scull.
This bout marks Canelo’s first title defense outside the U.S. and Mexico, underscoring Riyadh’s growing status as a global sports destination.
The action-packed evening will open with a series of thrilling undercard matchups, including a middleweight clash between Mexico’s Jaime Munguía and France’s Bruno Surace.
In the heavyweight division, Martin Bakole of Congo faces off against Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba, while Swedish veteran Badou Jack takes on Canada’s Ryan Rozicki in a cruiserweight bout.
Also on the card are a super welterweight showdown between Marco Verde and Michel Polina, and a lightweight fight featuring Cuba’s Bryan Leon against Mexico’s Aaron Guerrero, both eager to rise in international rankings.
“Fatal Fury” is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing push to position itself as a premier hub for global combat sports, blending high-stakes matchups with a world-class entertainment experience for local and international fans alike.
