Riyadh: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have sent separate cables of condolences to President Droupadi Murmu of the Republic of India following the tragic plane crash in the city of Ahmedabad on Thursday.
In his message, King Salman expressed deep sorrow over the crash of an Indian passenger plane shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. The King extended heartfelt condolences to the president, the families of the victims, and the Indian people, wishing the injured a swift and full recovery.
The Crown Prince also conveyed his condolences to President Murmu, expressing sympathy to the victims' families and the Indian nation, along with wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The crash involved an Air India flight bound for London carrying 242 passengers. The aircraft went down minutes after takeoff, striking a residential building. One passenger reportedly survived the crash.
