KSrelief Wraps Up Volunteer Neurosurgery Mission in Yemen’s Aden

ADEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has concluded a volunteer medical project for neurosurgery in Yemen’s Aden Governorate.

Conducted from June 18 to 26, the initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY). A team of five volunteer physicians from various medical specialties participated in the mission.

During the campaign, the medical team successfully performed 69 specialized neurosurgical procedures.

Since its launch, KSrelief has consistently delivered humanitarian aid in Aden, including food distributions benefiting over 4,000 people in April 2025. In partnership with UNDP, it supported peacebuilding and youth training programs from June 2023 to November 2024.

KSrelief also backed protection services for over 20,000 women and girls, providing shelters, safe spaces, and livelihood training.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts, implemented through KSrelief, to provide volunteer medical assistance and ease the suffering of people in need and those affected by crises around the world.
