Vancouver: The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources held a roundtable meeting in Vancouver, Canada, with representatives from 25 major Canadian mining companies to highlight investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s mineral exploration sector.
During the meeting, the ministry presented key enablers and incentives available to support investors, while outlining the objectives of the Kingdom’s Comprehensive Mining Strategy. Discussions emphasized Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantages, favorable investment environment, and ongoing efforts to develop the mining sector as a driver of economic diversification.
Participants also underscored the importance of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in shaping global mining trends and addressing sector challenges, particularly amid shifts in global energy and industrial dynamics. Saudi Arabia is scheduled to host the fifth edition of the FMF in January 2026.
In addition to the Vancouver roundtable, the ministry hosted a seminar in Toronto to engage with investors and promote the Kingdom’s mining opportunities. A series of bilateral meetings were also held with prominent Canadian mining firms to explore collaboration in mineral exploration.
These engagements are part of the ministry’s broader efforts to attract international investment and strengthen global partnerships in the mining industry.
