RIYADH: Saudi Arabia firmly rejects any violation of Palestinian rights, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated at an extraordinary Arab League summit in Cairo on Tuesday.
Addressing Arab leaders, Prince Faisal denounced Israeli settlements and displacement efforts, stressing the need for international guarantees and UN resolutions to uphold a lasting truce in Gaza. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for a two-state solution and Palestinian self-determination.
According to reports, The Kingdom also emphasized that Gaza’s reconstruction must ensure its residents remain in their homeland, backing Palestinian Authority-led efforts for stability and security.
“The suffering in Gaza demands urgent global action to restore normalcy, rebuild the territory, and ensure Palestinians live in dignity on their land,” Prince Faisal said, expressing hope for tangible outcomes from the summit.
The summit’s final statement called for an international peacekeeping force in Palestinian territories, condemned Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and endorsed Egypt’s Gaza plan in coordination with Palestine and Arab nations. It also reinforced the need for a just and comprehensive peace securing Palestinian rights.
