RIYADH: The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) launched a media campaign on Sunday to spotlight its efforts in regulating and developing the Kingdom’s coastal tourism sector. The campaign underscores SRSA’s introduction of comprehensive regulatory frameworks and technical codes aimed at transforming the sector and enhancing its appeal to tourists, operators, and investors.
The initiative reflects SRSA’s vision of creating an organized, sustainable, and competitive coastal tourism ecosystem through collaboration with public, private, and non-profit sectors. It builds on Saudi Arabia’s unique natural assets along the western coastline.
SRSA’s regulatory frameworks mark the Kingdom’s first legislative and operational foundation for coastal tourism. Designed in line with global best practices and tailored to Saudi Arabia’s diverse coastal environments, the regulations prioritize environmental preservation while fostering safety, accessibility, and economic growth.
These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, particularly in enhancing quality of life, diversifying the economy, and attracting high-value investments. Through the campaign, SRSA seeks to raise awareness of its regulatory role and the new opportunities emerging in the Kingdom’s coastal tourism sector.
