Saudi Foreign Minister Participates in GCC Emergency Meeting on Regional Escalations

Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held in response to escalating regional tensions.

The meeting focused on the recent Iranian missile strike targeting Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar and its implications for regional security. The ministers strongly condemned the attack, calling it a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers reaffirmed their full solidarity with Qatar and underscored the importance of collective action to preserve regional stability and security.

Following the meeting, the foreign ministers were received by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. During the audience, they reiterated the GCC’s unified stance against the Iranian aggression and expressed unwavering support for Qatar’s sovereignty and security.

The discussions also addressed progress in joint Gulf initiatives, ongoing cooperation among member states, and future steps to strengthen regional integration and benefit the peoples of the GCC.
