Riyadh: Ahmed Al Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), met in Riyadh with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Nodirjon Turgunov.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed areas of mutual interest related to humanitarian and relief efforts, and reviewed recent developments in humanitarian work in Uzbekistan.
Ambassador Turgunov commended KSrelief’s professionalism and praised the Kingdom’s global humanitarian, relief, and volunteer initiatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s prominent role in supporting international humanitarian causes.
Over the past months, Uzbekistan actively participated in KSrelief’s Fourth International Humanitarian Forum in Riyadh in February 2025, sharing its rehabilitation programs for returnees from conflict zones.
Both parties emphasized addressing extremism’s root causes and supporting vulnerable groups through social, medical, and psychological aid.
